CONNECT BRANCHES AND INVENTORY
When one location needs more stock, start with the warehouse quantities. Use Wexcy to follow a transfer from its source to its destination, with the effect on each balance kept clear.
ONE TRANSFER, TWO WAREHOUSE BALANCES
A homeware business is moving 12 ceramic mugs from its central warehouse to a second warehouse serving one of its shops. The same product variant is followed at both locations.
Example quantities. No other reservations or stock movements are included.

The draft has not changed either balance.
12 pieces are reserved at the source.
The source is reduced; the destination has not increased yet.
12 pieces are added to the destination balance.
Approval reserves stock. Sending removes it from the source. Completing the transfer adds it to the destination.
Keep the source, destination, product variant, and quantity together in the transfer record. Your team can refer to those details as stock leaves one warehouse and is received at the other.
A warehouse is a stock location. It is not automatically the same thing as a customer-facing branch.

STOCK TRANSFER QUESTIONS
Not necessarily. A warehouse records where stock is held. It may serve a shop or another operating location, but the warehouse record alone does not represent every part of managing a branch.
The transfer quantity is reserved at the source warehouse. Its on-hand quantity stays the same, while its available quantity decreases. Nothing is added to the destination at this stage.
When the sent transfer is completed, its quantities are added to the destination warehouse. Sending the transfer reduces the source balance but does not, by itself, increase the destination balance.
A draft or approved transfer can be cancelled. Cancelling an approved transfer releases its reservation at the source. A transfer that has already been sent does not follow that cancellation path.
Sending is a stage in the stock transfer record. It records the stock leaving the source; it does not itself book a carrier or provide delivery tracking.
